FPT House

The project’s location is FPT High-Tech Urban Area, Da Nang. Situated on a 200 m² plot with building coverage ratio of 55%, this compact residence serves as a warm and intimate home for a couple and their two children. The spatial connectivity between functional zones has been carefully considered to foster a sense of cohesion and emotional closeness among family members. The integration of natural daylight, passive ventilation, and human-nature interaction is central to the architectural concept.

Regarding facade design, the building’s envelope showcases a refined interplay between contemporary architecture and natural elements. Strong, geometric massing conveys a sense of modernity and elegance, while the volumetric composition is arranged in a logical and balanced manner, lending the home a solid and trustworthy visual identity. Layered blocks creating interesting volumes stacked up together established a distinct design language and made the architectural idea more enjoyable.

The material palette predominantly features natural wood and stone, emphasizing both durability and a sense of warmth and familiarity. These earth-toned materials harmonize with strategically placed greenery, enhancing the home's environmental responsiveness and aesthetic appeal. Large glazed openings (floor-to-ceiling windows) optimize natural light intake and promote seamless indoor-outdoor connectivity, ensuring interiors remain airy and sunlit.

The open-plan layout connects the living room and kitchen to maximize communal interaction and visual continuity. The kitchen is outfitted with state-of-the-art appliances and smart cabinetry, enhancing both functionality and storage efficiency. The use of neutral color schemes in combination with wooden accents contributes to an inviting, cozy atmosphere.

Adjacent to the kitchen, the living area is designed with ample space, featuring a comfortable modular sofa and a small coffee table, offering a relaxed setting for family gatherings. Full-height glazing not only floods the room with daylight but also provides an unobstructed view of the garden, reinforcing the connection to nature. This spatial integration encourages everyday interaction among family members and enhances the shared living experience.

This design strategy supports both functionality and comfort while reflecting a modern, dynamic, and family-oriented lifestyle. The living room and kitchen are the core part of the home, these are the spaces where family members come together to share meals, stories, and create meaningful memories.

The bedrooms embrace a minimalist design language, prioritizing simplicity without sacrificing warmth or elegance. Neutral tones, paired with natural wood finishes, evoke a calming and tranquil atmosphere. Strategically placed windows allow abundant natural light and cross-ventilation, while also offering scenic views of the surrounding garden. The bed positioning and minimalist decorative elements foster a serene and balanced sleep environment.

The architect has thoughtfully incorporated biophilic design elements throughout the project. Greenery is not limited to outdoor spaces but is seamlessly integrated into the interior architecture, appearing in room corners, shelving units, and communal zones. These indoor plants improve air quality and create a refreshing ambiance, contributing to mental well-being and aesthetic harmony. In bedrooms, the presence of greenery further enhances tranquility and promotes restorative sleep.

This home in Da Nang’s FPT High-Tech Park exemplifies a design approach that emphasizes natural harmony, functional connectivity, and human-centric living.
